Common metrics
To maximize your return on investment, BMC Software developed and included a
minimum set of pre-defined view templates that should provide you with the most
common use cases, such as checking system health or investigating I/O behavior.
These views are based on a set of performance metrics and metric groups common or
similar for both UNIX and Windows platforms.
The following sections outline the common metrics supported, and lists them in
tables so that you can easily distinguish among them.
Available chart types
You can display metric information in any of the available chart types.
Chart type Description
Line Displays values as individual points, with consecutive points
connected by a straight line, over time.
Bar Displays values as vertical bars for the appropriate time periods
(dates or hours).
