Basic Operation
The following options are available by pressing MENU in the ‘User’ tab:
Create Waypoint – creates a new waypoint (see the previous pages).
Delete Waypoint – deletes selected waypoint from list and any route in which it was used.
Delete By Symbol – deletes all waypoints that use the same symbol.
Delete By Distance – deletes all waypoints that are a specifi c distance from a specifi c location.
Delete All – deletes all waypoints from the unit.
NOTE:
Once a waypoint is deleted from the list, it cannot be recovered from the unit. It is
advisable to backup important waypoints to a computer using the optional PC cable and inter-
face software or write them down by hand.
To delete a waypoint from the ‘User’ tab:
1. From the ‘User’ tab of the Points Tab, use the ARROW KEYPAD to highlight the waypoint to be
deleted.
2. Press
MENU, then highlight ‘Delete Waypoint’ and press ENTER/MARK.
Or Press
ENTER/MARK to open the Waypoint Edit Page. Highlight ‘Delete’, and press ENTER/MARK.
3. Press the
ENTER/MARK key to confi rm the deletion warning.
To delete waypoints by symbol:
1. From the ‘User’ tab, highlight the waypoint to be deleted and press MENU.
2. Highlight ‘Delete By Symbol’ and press
ENTER/MARK.
3. Use the
ARROW KEYPAD to highlight the symbol of the waypoint(s) to be deleted and press ENTER/
MARK
.
4. Highlight ‘OK’ and press
ENTER/MARK to confi rm. Choose ‘Cancel’ or press QUIT to stop the
deletion.
