To set up a dial-up connection in Windows XP
On your computer, click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
Double-click Network Connections.
Click File > New Connection.
In the New Connection Wizard, click Next.
Click Connect to the Internet then click Next.
Select Set up my connection manually then click Next.
Select Connect using a dial-up modem then click Next.
Select the modem that you previously installed, then
click Next.
Enter a descriptive name for this connection, then
click Next.
Enter #777 as the dial-up phone number then click
Next.
Click Next.
Under Internet Account Information, enter your
user name and password then click Next.
Click Finish to exit the wizard.

The Connect dialog box then opens. Click Dial to dial
up and connect to the Internet.

Dial up and connect to the Internet
Whenever you want to dial up to the Internet on your notebook using your device as a modem, do the
following steps to connect to the Internet.
If Modem Link has not yet been activated on your device, select the type of connection (USB or
Bluetooth) then tap Menu > Start.
On a Windows Vista™ notebook, click Start > Connect to, select the name of the dial-up connection,
then click Connect.
On a Windows XP notebook, click Start > Settings > Control Panel, double-click Network
Connections, then double-click the modem connection.
The Connect dialog box then opens. Click Dial to dial up and connect to the Internet.
To end the modem session
On the Modem Link screen, tap Menu > Stop.
