Speed dialling a phone
number
If you have assigned a phone number to
one of the speed dialling keys ( to
; see page 24), you can call the phone
number as follows:
Either:
With the display clear, press the desired
speed dialling key ( to ) and then
.
Or:
If “Speed dialling” is set on (see page 44):
With the display clear, press and hold the
desired speed dialling key ( to )
until the call is started.

OTE: Pressing and holding calls your
voice mailbox.
Answering a Call
When you receive a call, the phone rings
and flashes its lights, and a relevant text is
displayed.
The phone does not ring if the “Incoming
call alert” function (see page 41) is set to
“Off” or “Beep once”.
If “Incoming call alert” is set to “Caller
groups”, the phone notifies of the call only
if the caller belongs to one of the selected
groups.
1Press to answer the call.
When the “Anykey answer” function
(see page 43) is set on, you can answer
the call with any key except or .
If the network could not identify the
caller, Call is displayed.
If the caller could be identified, the
caller’s phone number (or name if
stored in your Phone book) followed
by calling is displayed.
Pressing rejects the call.
2After the conversation, end the call by
pressing .

OTE:
You can answer a call at any time,
even while in the Phone book or
menu functions.
If the incoming call has been divert-
ed from some other phone number,
the > sign is shown after Call or
calling (network service).
Calling Your Voice
Mailbox
To call your voice mailbox, press and hold
when the display is clear.
If the phone asks for the voice mailbox
number, key it in and press OK.
To edit this number later, see ”Voice mail-
box number (Menu 1-8-2)” on page 37.
