Voice Messages
The voice message service allows you to
have an own voice mailbox held by your
service provider.
Reading a text message
(Inbox - Menu 1-1)
When you receive a text message,
and the number of new messages followed
by message(s) received will appear
and a short tone will be heard (see “Mes-
sage alert tones” on page 42).
Received messages can be viewed in the
“Inbox” submenu.
1With a note of a new message on the
display:
Press Read to read the message im-
mediately or Exit to view it later.
To view the message later:
Once in the Messages menu, scroll
with or to Inbox, and press
Select.
2A list of message headers appears.
Each header contains the sender’s
name or the start of the message.
in front of the header means that
the message has not yet been read.
in front of the header indicates a
delivery report.
Scroll to the desired message and press
Read to view it.
3Use or to browse through the
message and related information, such
as sender’s phone number and recep-
tion date and time.
4While reading the message, you can
access the following functions by
pressing Options. Scroll to the de-
sired function and press OK.
Erase
Deletes the message. Press OK to con-
firm the operation.
Reply
Allows you to send a reply to the sender
of the message. Key in your message,
press Options, scroll to the desired
function, and press OK. You can select
from the same options as in “Write
messages” (Menu 1-3).
Edit
Allows you to change the message.
Make your edits, press Options,
scroll to the desired function, and press
OK. You can select from the same
options as in “Write messages” (Menu
1-3).
Use number
Extracts a phone number from the
message for calling or saving. If there
are several numbers, scroll to the
desired one and press OK. Press Save
to store the number in Phone book or
to call it.
Forward
Allows you to send the message fur-
ther. Edit the message (if necessary),
press Options, scroll to the desired
function, and press OK. You can select
from the same options as in “Write
messages” (Menu 1-3).
