Recalling a Phone
Number and Name
There are several ways to access the
names and phone numbers stored in
Phone book.
By Phone book’s Search
function
1With the display clear, press Names.
2With Search highlighted, press Se-
lect.
3Key in the first character(s) of the de-
sired name.
4Press OK or for the first name, or
for the last name beginning with the
given character(s).
5Press or until the desired name
appears or is highlighted.
• Three periods (...) after the name or
before the phone number mean that
the name or number is not shown in
full length.
• or at the top of the display
shows that the name and phone
number is stored in the SIM or inter-
nal Phone book, respectively.
6Press Detail and then or to
see the name in full length and the
phone number associated with the
name.
NOTE: You can ignore this step when
the Type of view selected is Name,
number.

display is clear

2Key in the first character of the name.
3Press or until the name appears.

Deleting a Name and
Phone Number (Erase)
You can remove names and phone num-
bers from the selected Phone book one by
one or all at once.
One by one
1Recall the name and phone number
that you want to remove (see page 22).
2Once you are in the Details of the
given name or phone number:
• Press Options.
• Scroll with or to Erase and
press Select.
• Press OK to confirm or Back to
cancel the operation.
