Functions
Copying a name and phone
number
You can copy names and phone numbers
all at once or one by one from the phone
to the SIM card or vice versa.
1With the display clear, press Names.
2Scroll with or to Copy and press
Select.
3Reach the desired copying direction
(from phone to card or vice versa) and
press Select.
4Scroll to Copy all or One by one
and press Select.
5If you selected Copy all, do as fol-
lows:
Select whether to keep or erase the
original names and phone numbers
and press Select.
At Start copying?, press OK to
confirm or Back to cancel the oper-
ation.
If you selected One by one, do as
follows:
Select whether to keep or erase the
original name and phone number
and press Select.
Reach the name and/or phone
number to be copied. Press Copy to
start copying or Back to cancel the
operation.
If the name is too long for the target
Phone book, the name is shortened as
much as necessary.
If the name already exists in the target
Phone book but the associated phone
number is different, an ordinal number is
added to the end of the name.
Alternative way for one by one copying
1Recall the name and phone number
that you want to copy (see page 22).
2Once you are in the Details of the
given name or phone number: Press
Options, scroll with or to
Copy, and press Select.
3Select whether to keep or erase the
original name and phone number and
press Select.
Copying via IR
Via the phone’s infrared (IR) port, you can
copy names and phone numbers to a sim-
ilar phone and a compatible PC provided
with an appropriate application.
Copying a name and phone number
from your phone
1Recall the name and phone number to
be copied (see page 22).
2Make sure that the other phone is set
to receive data via its IR port.
3Once you are in the Details of the given
