Keypad Lock
(Keyguard)
The keypad can be temporarily locked to
prevent the keys from being accidentally
operated.
To lock the keypad:
With the display clear,
press Menu and then
within three sec-
onds. appears at
the top of the display.
To unlock the keypad:
Press Unlock and then .
When the keyguard is on:
To answer a call, press . To end
or reject a call, press . During a
call, the phone can be operated in
the normal way.
Calls may be possible to the emer-
gency number programmed into
your phone (e.g. 112 or other official
emergency number).
Key in the emergency number and
press . The number is displayed
only after you have keyed in its’ last
digit.
When the phone is connected to the
handsfree car kit CARK-91, the
phone can be used in the normal
way.

OTE: When the phone is connected to the
headset HDC-9, you can lock the keypad
during a call as follows: Press Options,
scroll with or to Lock keypad,
and press Select. You can unlock the
keypad in the normal way.
Multiparty Calls
Making a new call during a
call
You may have two calls in progress at the
same time (network service). One of the
calls may be a conference call.
To make a new call during a call:
1Press Options, scroll with or
to New call, press Select, key in
the phone number or recall it from
Phone book (see page 22 for details),
and press Call (or ).
The existing call is put on hold auto-
matically. The active call is indicated by
and the held call by .
To cancel the call before an answer:
Press End call.
2To switch between the calls, press
Swap or .
Or: Press Options, scroll to Swap,
and press Select.
3To end the active call, press .
Or: Press Options, scroll to End
this call, and press Select. The
held call becomes active.
To end both calls: Press Options,
scroll to End all calls, and press
Select.
