Car Panel
Using the Car Panel
With the Car Panel, you can easily access footprints, locate places in Google Maps, and
navigate to a destination that you want. You can also make calls and search the Web.
From the Home screen, tap > Car Panel to open it.

1 Check the places you’ve been before or capture
new places as footprints. (See “Footprints” in this
chapter.)
2 Search the Web by simply dictating words into your
phone’s microphone.
3 Search the Web with Google search by entering a
word or phrase.
4 Quickly dial Favorites, dial someone from your call
history list, or use the Dialer. (See the Phone calls
chapter.)
5 View a map of your location using Google Maps.
(See “Google Maps” in this chapter.)
6 Get help navigating to your destination using Google
Maps Navigation.
Closing Car Panel
Do one of the following:
Press MENU and then tap Exit.
Press and hold the status bar and then drag it down to open the Notifications
panel. Tap Car mode enabled.
Pressing HOME or BACK will not close the Car Panel.
