6. Tap the pick list, and tap one of the following settings for the full-
screen pen stroke:
• Backlight turns on the backlight of your pda phone.
• Keyboard opens the onscreen keyboard for entering text characters.
• Graffiti 2 Help opens a series of screens that show the complete
Graffiti 2 character set.
• Turn Off & Lock turns off and locks the pda phone. You must
assign a password to lock the pda phone. When locked, you need to
enter the password to use your pda phone.
• Beam Data beams the current record to another PDA connected
organizer.
7. Tap OK.
Installing add-on applications
In addition to the applications that came with your pda phone, you can
install applications (called add-on applications) using the Install Tool
during a HotSync
®
operation. A variety of third-party applications are
available for your device, such as games and other software, from the
internet.
Add-on applications reside in RAM memory and can be removed at any
time; for information, see “Removing applications” later in this chapter.
Installing games
In addition, you can install games included on the CD using the G18 Install
Tool. These games include:
• Giraffe (a fun and simple way to practice Graffiti 2
writing)
• HardBall
