Wi-Fi Advanced Settings
The Wi-Fi settings - Advanced menu allows you to set
up many of your device’s Wi-Fi service, including:
Setting your Wi-Fi sleep policy
Viewing your device’s MAC Address
Configuring use of either a DHCP or Static IP
To access the Bluetooth Settings menu:
1. From the Home screen, tap
Settings
Wi-Fi
.
2. Press
Advanced
.

page 107.
Wi-Fi Direct
Wi-Fi Direct allows device-to-device connections so you can
transfer large amounts of data over a Wi-Fi connection.
Note:
See your service plan for applicable charges for Wi-Fi
Direct.
1. From the Home screen, tap
Settings
More...
.
2. Tap the ON/OFF slider, located to the right of the Wi-Fi
Direct field, to turn Wi-Fi Direct ON .
3. At the
Wi-Fi Direct
prompt, tap
OK
.
4. From the Settings screen, tap
Wi-Fi Direct
.
5. Repeat
steps 1 - 4
on the other device you want to
connect with. The steps on a different model of phone,
may be different.
6. On your phone, tap
Scan
.
The device scans for other Wi-Fi Direct devices.
7. Once the device you want to connect to is displayed,
tap on it.
8. The other device has 2 minutes to tap
OK
for the
connection to be made.
9. Once connected, the other device will show as
Connected
in your list of Wi-Fi Direct devices and the
icon will display at the top of your screen.
10. To change your Device name and Password, press
Device name
.
