Wireless Manager
Wireless Manager enables you to easily switch the
Phone, Data, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functionality on
or off.
To access Wireless Manager:
•From the Today screen, tap the area displaying
the service provider name.
•From the Today screen, tap Start > Settings >
Connections > Wireless Manager.
Switching radio transmission on/off
You can switch the telephony radio transmission of
your Toshiba phone on and off.
When the radio transmission is off, it is in 'Flight
Mode'. In this mode, you will not be able to make or
receive calls, send or receive messages, or access
the Internet.
To switch radio transmission on/off:
From Wireless Manager, tap the Phone item.
Radio transmission will toggle on or off.
Disconnecting current active data
connection
You can disconnect an active data connection
without switching off the radio transmission by
tapping Data from Wireless Manager.
However, the data connection will automatically
reconnect if you are using Direct Push e-mail. This is
because your Toshiba phone must have a
connection permanently open to receive e-mails
from the e-mail server. To disconnect the data
connection in this scenario, you must first disable
the Direct Push e-mail.
To disable Direct Push e-mail:
1. From the Today screen, tap Start > Programs.
2. Tap ActiveSync.
3. Tap Menu > Schedule...
4. Set the Peak times: and Off-peak times: fields
to Manually.
To re-enable Direct Push e-mail:
1. From the Today screen, tap Start > Programs
> ActiveSync.
2. Tap Menu > Schedule...
3. Set the Peak times: and Off-peak times: fields
to As items arrive.
