Section 15: Tools
This section explains how to use the phone’s digital assistant
tools to schedule events, set reminders, perform calculations,
and more.
Tools Menu
Tools is a suite of Personal Information Manager (PIM)
applications such as a Calendar, and Memo Pad that run on the
phone. You can use the phone to schedule events, set reminders,
perform calculations, and more with the functions provided by
this useful feature.
Opening Tools Menu
1. In Standby mode, press Menu ( ), then select Tools.
The following sub-menus appear in the display:
Voice SVC
— Lets you access voice recognition functions.
Memo Pad
— Lets you store and review useful information.
Alarm Clock
— Lets you set an alarm to go off once, or daily, at a
specified time.
World Time
— Lets you view the current time of day or night in
another part of the world.
Calculator
— Lets you perform calculations, including addition,
subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Stop Watch
— Lets you view the amount of time.
Converter
— Lets you convert currencies (according to the latest
rates) and weights, measures, and temperatures from one system
or increment to another.
Tip Calculator
— Lets you quickly calculate service gratuities with
a minimum of key presses.
Tip:
To launch the
Tools
menu using a voice command — In Standby mode,
press and hold until the phone prompts, “
Say a command.
” Say “
Go
to Tools
” into the microphone.
