BMC74077E THE DATA-IN-VIRTUAL TASK HAS TERMINATED. THEREFORE,
APPLICATION RESTART CONTROL PROCESSING CANNOT
CONTINUE.
Explanation: The data-in-virtual task has terminated. APPLICATION RESTART
CONTROL (AR/CTL) processing cannot continue because communication with the
restart data set is not available.
System Action: AR/CTL abnormally terminates the task with abend U1771 and
reason code X’00074077’.
User Response: The dynamic allocation skeleton probably contains an error.
Review the JES message log, the Dynamic Allocation Parameter List report (found
under ddname ARCDYNPR), and the IDCAMS alternate SYSPRINT (found under
ddname ARCDIVPR). Take corrective action as indicated by the information in these
sources.
The error can also be either a hardware error or an AR/CTL internal processing error.
If it is an AR/CTL internal processing error, save the SYSUDUMP, JES message log,
Dynamic Allocation Parameter List report, and IDCAMS alternate SYSPRINT for
this job. Perform the restart using the IMS system log data set (SLDS), if possible. If
not, perform the procedure for handling a damaged or destroyed restart data set as
described in the APPLICATION RESTART CONTROL User Guide. Contact BMC
Software Product Support.

area is available.
System Action: Processing continues, but the task that requested this action
abnormally terminates.
