completion code and reason code, and the maximum number of retries for the same
unit of work for the identified completion code and reason code. In addition, the
message displays the number of reattaches and number of retries for the same unit of
work for the identified completion code and reason code.
This information is written to the ARCPRINT data set each time that an attach
occurs, whether the attach is caused by the reattach class record criteria or not. This
information allows you to verify that each specified completion code and reason code
combination is being charged for the correct number of reattaches and unit of work
retries. The current reattach and unit-of-work (UOW) retry counts are displayed
before it is determined if a new UOW is in process. Therefore, the current UOW
retry count will be incremented, but the current reattach count will not be
incremented until the first UOW in the reattach is completed.
