Section 4: Call Functions and Contacts List
This section describes features and functionality associated with making or answering calls, and the Contacts list,
which is used to store contact information. For more information, refer to “Call settings” on page 178.
Making a Call
Using the Dialer
On the Quick Access bar, touch
Dialer
. Enter the number you wish to dial and press the key.
Tip:
You can also open the
Widget bar
and tap the
Dialer
widget to dial a number.
To correct the number before dialing, touch
to clear the last digit. To clear the entire sequence, touch and hold
.
Note:
When you activate the Auto redial option in the Call settings menu, the phone automatically redials up to 10 times when the
person does not answer the call or is already on the phone, provided your call is not sent to voice mail. For more information, refer
to “Call settings” on page 178.
Making a Call from the Contacts List
Once you have stored phone numbers in the Contacts list, you can dial them easily and quickly by using the location
numbers that were assigned to them.
Note:
If you cannot remember a location number, you must search the Contacts list to find an entry by name. For more information,
refer to “Finding a Contact” on page 54.
Dialing a Number from the SIM Card
1. Touch
Dialer
.
Tip:
You can also open the
Widget bar
and tap the
Dialer
widget to dial a number.
2. Enter the location number for the phone number you want to dial and press the key.
The entry associated with the location number displays.
