Conversion settings
Before viewing PowerPoint presentations, you must change your default le conversion settings
so that les transferred from your PC to your handheld are not changed.
1. Launch ActiveSync on your desktop and go to Tools > Options.
2. On the Options page, choose the Rules tab > Conversion Settings.
3. Choose the Desktop to Device tab, highlight Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation from the list
and click Edit.
4. Choose No conversion (*.ppt) from the drop down and click OK three times until you are back on
the main ActiveSync screen.
Any PowerPoint les you transfer to your handheld will now be preserved in their original format
for viewing.
View a presentation
To open a PPT presentation le:
1. Launch ClearVue Presentation by tapping > Programs > ClearVue PPT.
2. Tap File > and select Open to view a list of .ppt les on your T-Mobile MDA III > Tap the le you
want to view.
3. Tap Slide Show to view the slides from the View menu or by using the Icon on the toolbar.
The Slide Viewer opens with the presentation in the Normal View or the Slide Sorter View.
You can change the view by selecting an alternate View from the View menu or by using one
of the ToolBar icons. If the presentation was received as an E-mail attachment, you can also
just tap on it to open.
Normal Viewer
The Normal View has the Slide List and the Image Window. You can also view Notes in the
Normal View. On your T-Mobile MDA III, Notes that are attached to your presentation can be
viewed by selecting Notes from the View menu.
The Slide List window allows you to do the following:
n Choose the image shown in the Image window by selecting the slide in the list.
n Select which slides will show in your presentation by checking or unchecking the slide checkbox in
the slide list.
n Move a slide up or down by using the Move slide up or Move slide down ToolBar icon.
The Image Window allows you to do the following:
n Scroll through the slides using the scroll bars.
n Zoom in on a slide for a closer view by double clicking the Image Window.
