1 Make the call to the desired phone number.
2 Key in the digits you want to send as DTMF tones. The digits are sent one by
one to the network.
To answer a call
Tip: To change your
ringing tone, see To attach a
ringing tone on page 99.
When you receive a call, the phone gives a ringing tone and the text Call flashes
on the display. If silent-profile is active, only the keypad and display light will flash.
If the caller can be identified, the callers name or phone number, and the text
Calling, will be displayed.
Tip: You can answer the
call even while using the
search or menu functions.
1 To answer the call, press .
If you do not want to answer the call, press . The caller will hear the
alerting tone change to a busy tone.
To mute the ringing tone of an incoming call, press Mute.
Tip: If the Divert if busy is
activated to divert the calls,
for example, to your voice
mailbox, rejecting an
incoming call will also divert
the call. See To divert voice
calls on page 83.
2 To end the call, press .
To manage calls
There are a number of functions you can use during a call. Many of the in-call
options are network services.
To access the functions, press Options during a call. Some or all of the following
in-call options may become available:
Answer - Allows you to answer an incoming call.
Reject - Allows you to reject an incoming call.
