To access the options on this menu follow
these steps:
1. From the Today screen, tap Start
located in the upper left
corner of the screen.
2. Tap Settings and from the
Personal tab, tap Phone .
3. Tap the Security tab.
4. Tap the button of the function you
want. Choose from the following:
Clear All Data - (Phone Reset).
For more information, refer to "Resetting your Phone to Factory Defaults" on
page 36.
Emergency Call - Allows you to set the Emergency Call to: 911, *911, #911
or Tap: Tap here to register” to register an emergency phone number.
Note: If you select Phone Reset, you will be prompted to enter your security password. By default this
password is the last 4 digits of your phone number unless you have changed it. For more information
about setting a password, see "Setting a Phone Password" on page 98.
5. Follow the directions to complete the function you selected, then tap
to exit.
Phone Settings (GSM)
Phone options are divided into the following tabs:
Phone: Allows you to set the Sounds and Security options.
- Sounds: Allows you to set the Ring type, Ring tone, and Keypad tones.
Services -Allows you to configure Call Barring, Caller ID, Call Forwarding, Call
Waiting, Voice Mail and SMS settings.
Network: Allows you to set the Current network, the Preferred networks, and to
set the Network selection (Automatic or Manual).
Security - If this option is provisioned with your SIM card, it allows you to set a
PIN Lock to restrict specific types of incoming and outgoing calls to and from
your phone. You can also lock the SIM card by tapping the Enable the SIM Lock
option.
Options: Allows you to change the settings for the following items:
- Auto Answer - Allows you to set the length of time that must pass before the
attached headset or carkit accessory automatically answers the phone (Off, 3
seconds, 5 seconds, or 10 seconds).
