Settings (continued):
White balance
: adjusts the colour balance according to the
lighting conditions: Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Incandescent, or
Fluorescent.
ISO
: ISO determines light meter sensitivity. Choose from
Auto, 100, 200, 400, or 800. Use a lower ISO number for best
picture quality in normal light levels, a higher ISO to take
photos in low light, or Auto to let the camera automatically
adjust the ISO.
Metering
: allows you to set how the camera measures or
meters the light source: Center-weighted, Spot, or Matrix
(averages all areas of the scene).
Anti-Shake
: reduces image blur due to movement of the
camera.
Auto contrast
: improves the image when there is excessive
variation of light intensity.
Guidelines
: provides vertical and horizontal lines on the that
aid camera alignment (e.g., can help keep the horizon line
straight).
Image quality
: allows you to set the image quality to:
Superfine, Fine, or Normal.
GPS tag
(also known as Geotagging): Embeds location
information into the picture file. (Only available in Camera
mode.)
Shutter sound
: allows you to set the Shutter sound to On or
Off.
Storage
: allows you to configure the default storage location
for images or videos as either Phone or Memory card (if
inserted).
Reset
: allows you to reset all camera or camcorder settings
to the default values.
(5) Image viewer
: opens the Image viewer and the last picture
taken. The last picture taken is displayed as a thumbnail in
the Image viewer icon.
(6) Camera button
: tap to take a photo (Camera mode only).
(7) Camera / Camcorder Mode
: switches between camera
and camcorder operation. Slide the button up for Camera,
or down for Camcorder.
