Security
Your subscriber identity module (SIM) card is locked by default, and you must enter a
PIN to unlock it. Locking the SIM card prevents you and others from making phone calls
until the correct PIN is entered. You can, however, still make emergency calls when the
SIM card is locked. If you want, you can change the PIN number required to unlock the
SIM card.
Lock the SIM card
1 On the Home screen, select Start.
2 Select Settings and then Security.
3 Select Enable SIM PIN.
4 Enter your PIN and select Done.
Note: To cancel without locking the SIM card, press h.
Unlock the SIM card
1 On the Home screen, select Start.
2 Select Settings and then Security.
3 Select Disable SIM PIN.
4 Enter your PIN and select Done.
