Security settings
Locking the phone
The S750i provides several locking
modes which are described below.
When the restriction is set, you will
have to enter your security code to
proceed. This is so you can prevent
others from using your phone.
Note:
As for Call Barring on the network
service, see p. 130.
1 Open the Restriction Settings
display.
•Press [Menu] Security
Restriction Settings
2 Select a restriction option and
press O.
Dial Lock: Locks all the keys and
restricts use of the phone
except for receiving calls,
making emergency calls and
diverting calls.
Lock Address Book: Locks use of the
Address Book or other related
functions.
Restrict Dial: Restricts use of call
histories or direct number
input to make outgoing calls.
Use of the Address Book is
available.
Auto Dial Lock: Sets Dial Lock
automatically every time you
turn the power on.
Setting Privacy Mode
You can assign “Private” status to a
contact in the Address Book or
Schedule or ToDo and make the entry
private, preventing others from seeing
the information. First, you have to set
Privacy mode ON. Then you must
make the entry in the Address Book
(or Schedule) a private entry. Finally, if
you set Privacy mode OFF, the private
entries will not be shown on the
display.
Setting Privacy mode ON
1 Open the Privacy mode display.
•Press [Menu] Security
Privacy Mode
2 Select ON and press O.
When this setting is ON, private
contacts become accessible. When
this setting is OFF, private contacts
are not displayed on the screen.
3 Enter your security code.
Making a contact a private data item
1 Open the contacts list and open
the contact you want to keep
private.
2 Press [Edit], then l / r to scroll to
the “Other” display
3 Select the private setting icon
and press O.
4 Select ON and press O, then press
[Save].
