Using the Sliding QWERTY Keyboard
You can do the following with the sliding QWERTY keyboard:
ⅷ To type lowercase letters and numbers, press the keys using your thumbs.
ⅷ To use all uppercase letters, press . To change back to all lowercase letters, press again.
ⅷ To use a single uppercase letter, press , and then press the corresponding key.
ⅷ To enter the symbol or punctuation mark, or launch the program that is printed at the upper right corner of
a key, press , and then press the corresponding key.
ⅷ To open the Symbol Pad, press .
ⅷ Press to insert a hard return while typing.
ⅷ Press the arrow keys / / / for directional movement.
ⅷ Press to open the Messaging program.
ⅷ Press to open your SMS/MMS messaging account.
ⅷ Press and hold ,and then press to open the T9 menu.
Notes
• Some text input methods may not be available in certain language versions of the device.
• When in landscape mode,
Compact QWERTY and the Phone keypad are not available.
