About UMA
Your device features UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) capability. UMA is the
commercial name of the 3GPP Generic Access Network (GAN standard). GAN
extends mobile services voice, data and IP applications over IP access networks.
With UMA enabled, you can seamlessly roam between GSM and UMA networks,
and the device will handover the signal.
When UMA is enabled and you are in a UMA service area, you will be able to use
GSM/GPRS services via a Wi-Fi or IP network. The UMA client handles handover
between random access networks and UMA networks automatically.
