6. Select an Authentication Type. By default, the Authentication Type for your
phone is Open System authentication.
Note For LEAP to work correctly, the receiving phone (your phone) must be set with the
same SSID, user name, and password as the access point.
To forward saved network settings
You can send network profile settings to another phone to enable it to connect to
that network.
1. On the Wi-Fi Manager screen, select
Saved Networks.
2. Select a saved network and then select
Menu > Forward Settings.
3. Enter the phone number directly or select
Menu > Contacts to add a number
from Contacts. You can add up to six numbers.
4. Select
Send. After a moment, a message appears saying that the settings
were sent.
5. The receiving phone gets a message that Wi-Fi
security settings have been sent.
• Select View to view and then save the
network to Saved Networks.
• Select Cancel to save the message with the
settings to Received Networks.
Note You can view networks that have been sent to
your phone. On the Wi-Fi Manager screen, select
Received Networks.
