Multipress mode
In Multipress mode, you enter a character by pressing the key on which the
character appears.
To switch to Multipress mode
1. While on a text eld, press and hold the
key.
2. If Predictive Text is enabled, select
Predictive Text > O.
To enter text in Multipress mode
• To enter the rst character on the numeric key, press once. To enter the
second character on the numeric key, press twice, and so on.
• To enter characters that are on the same key, wait for the line under the
character to disappear before you press the key again.
To change the Multipress time out
You can change the length of time to pause between keypresses on the same
numeric key.
1. On the Home screen, select
Start > Settings > Accessibility.
2. In
Multipress time out, choose the length of the pause between keypresses
and select Done.
T9 mode
To form a word in T9 mode, press the keys that contain the letters you want. As you
enter letters, T9 analyzes your keypresses and attempts to complete the word. T9
also tries to predict your next word based on previous sentences you have typed.
To switch to T9 mode
1. While on a text eld, press and hold the
key.
2. If Predictive Text is disabled, select
Predictive Text > On.
