19. Charger/Accessory Jack allows you to connect the
phone charger or a USB cable (included).
CAUTION! Inserting an accessory into the incorrect
jack may damage the device.
20. QWERTY Keyboard provides an alphanumeric
character keyboard layout. Lets you enter numbers,
letters, and characters, as well as navigate within
menus.
21. Light sensors let you use the ambient light level to
adjust the screen brightness/contrast.
In a bright light condition (outdoors), the sensors
cause the device to increase the brightness and
contrast for better viewing.
In a dim light condition (while talking on the
phone) the sensors detect talk activity and lock
the keypad to prevent accidental key presses.
22. Search Key returns you to the Home screen and
activates the Google™ search field.
23. Shift/Symbols Key lets you toggle alphabet
characters between mixed case, uppercase and
lowercase. Character case remains as selected
until the Shift key is pressed again. In combination
with the , lets you access symbol characters.
