Press and tap New contact.
3. Select Google and tap OK.
4. Tap the First and Last field, and enter a name for
the new entry and tap
Next. (See “Entering Text
with Onscreen Keyboard” on page 36.)
5. Tap the Phone number field and enter a phone
number using the onscreen dialpad.
Tap to enter additional phone numbers for
the new Contacts entry.
Tap to remove a previously entered phone
number.
6. Tap the label button (to the left of the Phone
number field) to select from additional categories
such as:
Home, Mobile [default], Work, Work Fax,
Home Fax, Pager, Other, or tap Custom to create
your own unique category type.
7. Enter additional information such as: Email
addresses, Chat addresses, Postal addresses,
Organizations, Notes, Ringtone assignment,
Incoming call direction.
Use your finger to slide the page up or down to
see additional fields and categories.
8. Tap Done to complete and store the new entry.
After saving the number, your device displays the new
entry within the Contact list. (See “Contacts Entry
Options” on page 69.)
Shortcut: Enter the phone number from the Dialer and press
> Add to contacts. Proceed with steps 4–5.
Note: Use the predictive text row to shortcut a name selection
by tapping the word.
Tip: ICE – In Case of Emergency
To make it easier for emergency personnel to identify
important contacts, you can list your local emergency
contacts under “ICE” in your device’s Contacts list. For
example, if your mother is your primary emergency
contact, list her as “ICE–Mom” in your Contacts. To list
more than one emergency contact, use “ICE1–___,”
“ICE2–___,” etc.
