Status Bar
The Status Bar displays icons to show network status, battery
power, and other details.
System Alert
: Check Notifications Panel for alerts. For
more information, refer to “Notification Panel” on
page 22.
Battery Level
: Shown fully charged.
Charging Indicator
: Battery is charging. Displays when
connected to a standard AC wall outlet or to a computer
by way of a USB cable.
Device Power Critical
: Battery has only three percent
power remaining. Charge immediately.
Battery Full
: Battery is fully charged. Disconnect device
from power source.
Signal Strength
: The greater the number of bars, the
stronger the signal.
USB Connected
: Phone is connected to a computer using
a USB cable.

USB Debugging
: Device is connected to a computer in
debugging mode. For more information, refer to “USB
Debugging” on page 129.
Updates Available
: Updates to the applications you have
downloaded are available.
Upload in Progress
: Data is being uploaded to another
device.
Download in Progress
: An application is being
downloaded to the device.
Download Successful
: A recent software download was
successfully downloaded.
Flight Mode
: Indicates that Flight Mode is active, which
allows you to use many of your phone’s features, but it
cannot send or receive any calls or access online
information.
No SIM Card
: Displays when there is no SIM card in the
phone.
Preparing SD Card
: A memory card is installed.
Remove SD Card
: Displays when an external microSD
memory card is safe to remove.
