108 3A. Sprint Service: The Basics
To view and play a multimedia message:
1. Press Home > > Messaging .
2. From the Messaging screen, tap a multimedia
message to open its contents.
3. While the message is open, tap to play the file.
To reply to a multimedia message:
1. Press Home > > Messaging .
2. From the Messaging screen, tap a multimedia
message to open its contents.
3. While the message is open, tap the
Type to compose field and then type your reply
message.
4. Once complete, tap Send.
Deleting a Message or Message Thread
1. Press Home > > Messaging .
2. Tap and hold a message or a thread you would
like to delete, and tap
Delete this thread or
Delete message > Delete to delete a single thread
or message.

Press
Menu > Delete all threads > Delete to
delete all threads.
Messaging Settings
1. Press Home > > Messaging .
2. From the Messaging screen, press Menu >
Settings.
3. Adjust the following fields according to your needs:
Ⅲ Delete old messages: Enable this option to delete
older text messages that exceed the maximum
number of text messages that you have set.
Ⅲ Text message limit: Sets the maximum number of
text messages that can be stored on the device.
(The default is 200 per conversation.)
Ⅲ Multimedia message limit: Sets the maximum
number of multimedia messages that can be
stored on the device. (The default is 20 per
conversation.)
Ⅲ Auto-retrieve: Enable this option to automatically
retrieve the entire content of your MMS message.
When checked, the MMS message header,
message body, and any attachments will
automatically download to your device.
