Chapter 5 Managing Object Properties 147
Managing Interface Properties
You can set or modify the properties of an individual interface, as well as being able
to set properties globally.
For a Cisco router that has the
NetFlow option selected, a NetFlow port specified, and
the
Track NetFlow option selected, an interface root level appears in the navigation
tree between the device level and the interface level. You manage interface root
properties the same way as interface properties.
To Modify Individual Interface Properties
1 In the Network portion of the navigation tree, navigate to the appropriate device,
right-click the interface, and then choose
Properties.
The Interface Properties screen is displayed, as shown in Figure 72:
Figure 72 Interface Properties Screen
Name is the ifDescr SNMP value for this interface.
Type is the ifType SNMP value for this interface.
IP Address indicates the interface’s IP address.
2 Modify properties as needed:
In Label, specify a new label to be displayed in the navigation tree.
In Bandwidth, enter the interface bandwidth. This value is usually taken from
the device during the discovery procedure; however, it can be either unavailable
or inexact in the SNMP agent. If you need it, enter the correct value to ensure
that the input and output indicators of this interface use the most appropriate
scales.
