32 PATROL DashBoard User Guide
9 In the Review Selections and Install window, review the selections carefully to
ensure that they are correct.
■ If you want to change your selections, click Back and make those changes.
■ If the selections are correct, select Start Install.
A status window opens and displays current messages, current milestones, and
percent complete during the progress of the installation. This window remains
open during the setup portion of the process, but it may be obscured by the setup
module windows described in the following steps.
10 In the setup module, complete the Web Server Parameters window:
A Specify the following information:
■ Hostname: Specify the name or the IP address of this PATROL DashBoard
server.
■ HTTP Port: Select the check box and specify the port to use for HTTP
communication (default is 8000).
If you use the PATROL DashBoard Availability Module or the PATROL
DashBoard Corporate Edition module with this PATROL DashBoard server,
you must specify an HTTP port.
■ HTTPS Port: Select the check box and specify the port to use for HTTPS
communication (default is 8443).
You must specify an HTTPS port for communication between the PATROL
DashBoard server and the Web clients if you want to secure the
communication.
■ Keystore File Name: Specify the case-sensitive name of the keystore file
without any path (default is
keystore).
You can use the default keystore configuration for testing and demonstration
purposes, but the self-signed public certificate that is included in the default
configuration is valid for only 730 days (2 years). Within that time, you must
generate your public/private keypair, generate a certificate request and send
it to a certificate authority, and import the received certificate. For
instructions, see “Configuring HTTPS for Your Operational Environment” on
page 44.
■ Keystore Password: Enter the case-sensitive password for the specified
keystore file name (default is
dashboardkeypass).
B (optional, but recommended) To verify that the specified ports can be used for
PATROL DashBoard communications, click
Check if Ports Are Available.
