6 Restart HP OpenView by opening an MS-DOS window and entering the following
command at the prompt:
ovstart -c
7 Start the HP OpenView GUI by choosing
Start=>Programs=>HPOpenView=>Network Node Manager.
To Install on Sun Solaris or HP-UX
1 Ensure that you have root privileges.
2 Go to, or create, the usr folder.
3 In the usr folder, untar the dashboard.tar file by issuing the following command:
tar xvf dashboard.tar
Several folders are created under the usr folder.
4 Go to /usr/dashboard/bin and issue the following command:
DashBoardInstall
5 Follow the prompts to specify the following information:
■ host name or IP address of the PATROL DashBoard server
■ port number of the PATROL DashBoard server (default is 8000)
