6 In Notifications, specify the type, if any, of notifications that you want:
■ E-mail: Select the check box to send threshold-crossing e-mail notifications for
each device indicator.
■ SNMP: Select the check box to send threshold-crossing SNMP traps to the SNMP
managers.
■ Apply Notifications on This Object and All Sub Objects: Click this button to use
the same type of notifications for subordinate objects.
7 In Other Properties, modify the properties as appropriate:
■ Enable Polling: Select this check box to activate the collection of counters. Clear
the check box if you do not need reports on this device, do not need statistics on
this device, or if you want to hide this device. This property is propagated to the
device’s interfaces, DLCIs, VPs, VCs, and protocols.
■ Show Interfaces: Select this check box to display the device’s hidden interfaces,
DLCIs, VPs, VCs, protocols, and peers in the navigation tree.
■ Export Raw Data: Select this check box to export data into the Raw ASCII report
file.
■ DataBase Export: Select this check box to export data into databases according to
the CIM model.
8 Click Apply Changes.
