If you are not the product administrator, you can ask your administrator what kind of
user profile has been set up for you, and you can review the chapters that are
appropriate for your level of operation.
Stopping the PATROL DashBoard Server
You will need to stop the PATROL DashBoard server under the following
circumstances:
if you need to shut down the computer on which the PATROL DashBoard server
resides
if you need to back up the database
if you need to restore data from a backup
To Stop the Server on Windows
1 On the Windows computer where the PATROL DashBoard server resides,
navigate to the
Services window of the Windows Control Panel.
2 In the Services list, select DashBoard Server and then click Stop.
To Stop the Server on Unix
Navigate to the installation directory (the default is /opt/bmc/PATROL_DashBoard)
and type the following command:
./StopDash.sh
As an alternative, you can stop the server by specifying the full path, as follows:
installationDirectory/StopDash.sh
