14 (Unix only) After you exit the installation utility, restart the PATROL DashBoard
server (see “Starting the PATROL DashBoard Server” on page 54) and launch
PATROL DashBoard Corporate Edition.
Uninstalling PATROL DashBoard Corporate
Edition Module
To uninstall PATROL DashBoard Corporate Edition, use the same procedures given
for uninstalling PATROL DashBoard (see “Uninstalling PATROL DashBoard” on
page 42) for Windows and Unix, but substitute
PATROL DashBoard Corporate in step
4 and step 5 in each procedure.
Starting the PATROL DashBoard Corporate
Edition Module
If you install the PATROL DashBoard Corporate Edition server on Windows, it starts
automatically after installation. On Unix, however, you must run a script to start it.
To Start the PATROL DashBoard Corporate Edition Module on Windows
The PATROL DashBoard Corporate Edition module runs as a service on Windows,
and it is automatically launched on startup, as well as after installation. However, if
you manually stop your PATROL DashBoard Corporate Edition module or if it is
stopped by some other occurrence, you can restart it by using the following
procedure.
Also, you can configure the PATROL DashBoard Corporate Edition module so that it
is activated manually. To do so, modify the properties of the
PATROL DashBoard
Corporate
service in the Services window of the Windows Control Panel.
1 From the Windows Start menu, choose Settings => Control Panel.
(On Windows 2000, open
Administrative Tools in Control Panel.)
2 Double-click Services.
3 In the displayed list, select PATROL DashBoard Corporate and then change the
startup mode to
Manual.
