To Modify Generic Discovery Properties for an Existing Generic Discovery Entry
1 In the navigation tree, expand Discoveries, and then expand Generic Discovery.
2 Click an entry.
The Generic Discovery Properties screen is displayed. It is similar to the Generic
Discovery Creation screen, shown in Figure 22 on page 74. The only additional
field on the screen is
Information, which displays the result of the properties setup,
the result of the last execution of the discovery entry, or an error message if an
error occurs after you click
Apply Changes.
3 Complete the fields as necessary (use step 2 on page 74 through step 11 on page 75
for guidance).
To Move a Generic Discovery Entry
To poll the objects of a new generic discovery entry, you must move the objects of
that entry to the appropriate domain or under the
Network root.
1 In the navigation tree, expand Discoveries, and then expand Generic Discovery.
2 Right-click an entry and choose Move.
The Generic Discovery Move screen is displayed.
3 In Devices, select one or more devices of the current discovery to move (use Shift or
Ctrl to select more than one device).
4 In Destinations, select a destination domain in which to place the selected devices.
5 Click the arrow button to move the selected devices to the selected domain.
To Delete a Generic Discovery Entry or a Device under a Generic Discovery
Entry
1 In the navigation tree, expand Discoveries, and then expand Generic Discovery.
2 Right-click an entry and choose
■ Delete => Discovery to delete the entire entry
■ Delete => Devices to select particular devices to delete from the entry
3 (optional) If you selected Delete => Devices, select the devices to delete.
