Communication Time
Congestion
Reported for physical interfaces (ISDN, BRI, and PRI) of Cisco devices that have
Internetworking Operating System (IOS) version 11.2 or later, and voice interfaces
of Motorola 65xx devices
Description total communication time per hour for each interface
For Cisco, the time measured accounts for the traffic of the two B channels for
incoming and outgoing calls. The daily calculated value represents the cumulative
duration of the day’s calls.

Points to check If the ISDN is used too intensely, consider a change to a leased line with a greater
or equal flow rate.
Reported for DLCI (data link connection identifier on Frame Relay)
Description percentage of congestion reported on the Frame Relay network to which the device
is connected
The frames received by each DLCI can indicate that the network that was used has
encountered congestion problems. PATROL DashBoard measures the proportion
of these frames in reference to the total number of frames received by each DLCI.
The purpose is to evaluate the congestion on the Frame Relay network to which
the device is connected.
