3 In Bandwidth, enter the VP bandwidth. This value is usually obtained during the
discovery procedure; however, it can be either unavailable or inexact in the device
MIB. If you need it, enter the correct value to ensure that the input and output
indicators of this VP use the most appropriate scales.
4 In Notifications, specify the type, if any, of notifications that you want:
E-mail: Select the check box to send threshold-crossing e-mail notifications for
each indicator.
SNMP: Select the check box to send threshold-crossing SNMP traps to the SNMP
managers.
Apply Notifications on This Object and All Sub Objects: Click this button to use
the same type of notifications for subordinate objects.
5 In Other Properties, modify the properties as appropriate:
Enable Polling: Select this check box to activate the collection of counters. Clear
the check box if you do not need reports on this device, do not need statistics on
this device, or if you want to hide this device.
Show Objects: Select this check box to display the device’s hidden objects in the
navigation tree.
6 Click Apply Changes.

properties globally.
