■ adds a new alarm category and icon called PATROL DashBoard to the HP
OpenView main window
■ configures a specific PATROL DashBoard Threshold event in the trapd.conf file to
allow a comprehensive decode of PATROL DashBoard traps
■ adds a description of the PATROL DashBoard Access action to trapd.conf
■ enables a report to HP OpenView of a PATROL DashBoard status change when a
PATROL DashBoard high-severity event occurs
■ updates the following application registration files for proper access to PATROL
DashBoard data from the HP OpenView user interface:
■ dashboard.arf for the native interface
■ dashboardjovw.arf for the Network Presenter Web interface
■ dashboardlauncher.arf for the HP OpenView launcher for the Web interface
To Install on Windows
1 Insert the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive and double-click the
HPOViDB.exe file in the CD file list.
2 In the Introduction screen, click Next.
NOTE
The Event Configuration tool of HP OpenView has exclusive access to the
configuration file,
trapd.conf, so you must stop that tool prior to installing this
product.
