2. Insert the battery.
Ⅲ Align the battery’s exposed copper contacts with the battery connectors inside the battery
compartment.
Ⅲ Insert the contacts side of the battery first and then gently push the battery into place.
3. Replace the back cover.
Turning the Phone On for the First Time
1. Press and hold the End/Power key for a few seconds.
2. When you turn on your phone for the first time, the phone installs customization settings, and then
restarts.
Ⅲ If your phone is already activated, it will search for Sprint service and then enter standby mode.
Ⅲ If your phone is not yet activated, see “Activating Your Phone” on page 4 for more information.
Note
Your phone’s battery should have enough charge for your phone to turn on and find a signal, set up your
voicemail, and make a call. You should fully charge your battery as soon as possible. See “Charging the Battery”
on page 16 for details.
