Device Basics
Making a Call from Contacts
1. From the Home panel, press Contacts (right softkey) to open the Contacts screen.
2. Select the contact to call and then press the
Talk key.

Highlight the contact and press the
Enter key to open the contact details, highlight the phone number you
want to call, and then press the
Talk key to place the call.
Making an International Call
1. Press and hold on the keypad until the plus (+) sign appears. The plus (+) sign replaces the
international prefix of the country that you are calling.
2. Enter the full phone number you want to dial, and press the
Talk key on your phone. The full phone
number includes the country code, area code (without the leading zero, if any), and phone number.
Calling Voicemail
is reserved for your voicemail. Press and hold 1 on the Phone keypad to call voicemail and retrieve
your voicemail messages.

Answering a Call
Your phone notifies you of incoming calls in the following ways:
The phone rings or vibrates.
The backlight illuminates.
The screen displays an incoming call message. If the incoming call is from a number stored in your
Contacts, the caller’s name is displayed. The caller’s phone number and picture may also be displayed,
if available.
Note
If the contact has more than one number stored, press the navigation key right or left to select the number
you want to call before pressing the
Talk key.
