Using Sprint Navigation
Sprint Navigation™ utilizes GPS positioning technology and access to Sprint’s wireless data network to provide
you with driving directions and a host of other services including:
ⅷ GPS navigation that gives you turn-by-turn directions to any destination address in the continental United
States. If you miss a turn or get off track, Sprint Navigation will calculate a new route for you. You can enter
a destination address by using Sprint Navigation’s automatic voice recognition system or by using the
QWERTY keyboard.
ⅷ Audio and visual traffic alerts while driving or viewing maps, as well as traffic rerouting capabilities to
minimize delays.
ⅷ Maps of the area around your current location, a marked Favorite, or an address you enter manually or
have previously entered. You can pan the map (adjust left/right/up/down) and zoom in or out.
Launching Sprint Navigation
1. To launch Sprint Navigation on your device, press Start (left softkey) > All Programs (left softkey) > Sprint
Navigation
.
After starting Sprint Navigation, you will see a splash screen for a few seconds.
2. You will then see Terms and Conditions for using the software. If you agree to the conditions listed, press
Accept (right softkey).
3. Type in your
First Name, Last Name, and Email Address, and then press Login (right softkey).
4. You will then see a safety warning. If you agree to the conditions listed, press
Go (right softkey).
5. You can choose to take a brief tour of Sprint Navigation or proceed directly to the application.
Note
The Product tour is only displayed the first time you log into Sprint Navigation. If you would like to access the
Product Tour again after your first login, you can access it by selecting Tools/Extras > About > Product Tour.
