term phone refers to the wireless feature
of your Palm
®
Treo
750 smart device that
enables you to connect to the Cingular
network so that you can make and receive
calls, and send and receive data.
The phone and the screen of your Treo 750
can be turned off and on separately. This
means you can wake up the screen to use
just the organizer features of your device
without turning on the phone. Also, when
the screen is turned off the phone can be
on and ready for you to receive phone calls
or messages.
Turning your phone on
From the Today screen, press Menu
(right action key), select Wireless
Manager, and then select Phone. When
your Treo 750 locates a signal, Cingular
appears in the upper-left of the screen and
the signal-strength icon appears at the
top of the screen.
When you turn on your phone, it connects
to a mobile network so that you can make
and receive phone calls and use other
wireless services (if supported by the local
network). When you are inside a coverage
area, the signal-strength icon has bars
in it. If you’re outside a coverage area, the
indicator light flashes amber and no bars
appear in the signal-strength icon.
Turning your phone off
From the Today screen, press Menu
(right action key)), select Wireless
Manager, and then select Phone. When
your phone is off, the phone-off icon
appears at the top of the screen and Phone
Off appears in the upper-left of the screen.
