Tip: To turn on the ring tone for calls while your device is in Bedside mode, open the Clock application, swipe down from
the top of the screen, and tap Clock Settings. Set the Phone Calls in Bedside Mode switch to On.
Set a custom ring tone for a contact
1. In the Contacts app, tap a contact.

3. Tap Ring Tone and Notifications.
4. In the Phone Ring Tone drop-down list, tap a ring tone.
5. Tap Back.
6. Tap Save.
Turn off all ring tones and sounds

View and respond to Instant Preview
notifications
View previews of incoming email, BBM messages, text messages, and more from any application.
When an Instant Preview notification appears on the device screen, do one of the following:
• Tap the notification to see your message in the BlackBerry Hub.
Note: If the message is sent to an account that you have not added to the BlackBerry Hub, you receive a prompt to
open the application.
• Tap to dismiss the notification.
• Wait until the notification disappears.
• Tap to answer a BBM message or a text message without leaving your current page.
Turn off the Instant Previews feature
By default, the Instant Previews feature is turned on.
