How to: Compass
About the compass
Depending on your wireless service provider, this feature might not be supported. You can only use the Compass
application in portrait view.
You can use the Compass application to determine your direction in relation to the Earth's magnetic poles or to true north.
You can also use the Compass application with location-based applications, such as the Maps application that might be
preloaded on your BlackBerry smartphone, to provide you with information such as driving directions or your position in
relation to points of interest. The Compass application is most accurate when you place your smartphone on a flat surface
or hold it horizontally.
