Check that your wireless service plan is set up to use Mobile Hotspot mode. If not, you need to
change your service plan before Mobile Hotspot mode can work on your BlackBerry device.
Your wireless service provider might not allow the use of Mobile Hotspot mode while roaming. For
more information, check your service plan or contact your wireless service provider.
If you're using your device for work, your organization might not allow the use of Mobile Hotspot
mode. For more information, check with your administrator.
While roaming, if your wireless service plan supports the use of Mobile Hotspot mode while roaming,
on the Mobile Network settings screen, check that Data services while roaming is turned on.
I can't connect multiple devices to my mobile hotspot
Depending on your wireless service plan, you might not be able to connect multiple devices to your
mobile hotspot, or the number of devices you can connect might be less than eight.
Internet tethering
Sharing your mobile network connection using Internet tethering
Internet tethering allows you to share your BlackBerry device's connection to the mobile network with
one other device, such as a laptop or tablet, so that you can access the Internet on your other device
anywhere that your BlackBerry device can connect to the mobile network.
Additional charges might apply for using Internet tethering. On some networks you can't use some
services on your BlackBerry device, such as email and BlackBerry Messenger, while you use Internet
tethering.
Use Internet tethering to share your Internet connection
You can tether your BlackBerry device using either a USB cable or a Bluetooth connection.
1.
On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
2.
Tap Settings > Network Connections > Internet Tethering.

If you've never used Internet tethering before, complete the instructions on the screen. Read the
setup screens carefully as they provide important information about the Internet tethering feature.
4.
In the Connect using drop-down list, select USB or Bluetooth.
5.
Set the Internet Tethering switch to On.
6.
Connect your BlackBerry device to a laptop or tablet using a USB cable or Bluetooth connection.
Troubleshooting: Internet tethering
I can't use Internet tethering
Check that your BlackBerry device is connected to the mobile network. If appears in the upper-
right corner of the home screen, then your device is connected to the mobile network.
Check that your wireless service plan is set up to use Internet tethering. If not, you need to change
your service plan before you can use Internet tethering.
