On the screen, touch and hold the word.
2. To expand the text selection, do one of the following:
To automatically select more text, continue to touch and hold the text on the screen. Your selection expands from
a word to a sentence, and from a sentence to a paragraph the longer you hold.
Tap to expand the selection to a word.
Tap to expand the selection to a whole paragraph.
To select more published text, such as in a browser or PDF file, move the cursor indicator handles to highlight the
whole section of text.
To select more text in a text editor, such as an email message, place the cursor at the beginning of the text you
want to select. Touch and hold and drag the circle of interest on the screen to highlight the whole section of
text.
To dismiss the selection, tap anywhere on the screen.
Cut, copy, and paste text
1. Select the text that you want to cut or copy.
2. Lift your finger off the screen. The text editing menu appears.
3. Do one of the following:
To copy the text, touch, hold, and release the highlighted text. Tap .
To cut the text, touch, hold, and release the highlighted text. Tap .

To paste the text, touch and hold the location where you want to paste the text and then release your finger. Tap
.
Delete a word
Swipe one finger back across the keyboard.
Note
: If you type in a right-to-left language, swipe from left to right.
Selecting word suggestions that appear while you type
Your BlackBerry device is designed to learn what you tend to say and where in a sentence you tend to say it. Your device
uses this information to try to predict what word you might type next and displays suggested words on the row of touch
screen keys above the keyboard. You can quickly select a suggested word by placing your finger on the keyboard under the
word and flicking it up toward the screen.
