config loopdetect ports
Purpose
Used to configure loop–back detection function for the port on the switch.
Syntax
config loopdetect ports [<portlist>| all] state [enable | disable ]
Description
This command is used to enable the loop–back detection function on specific ports.
Parameters portlist – Specifies a range of ports to be configured. To set all ports in the system, you
may use “all” parameters.
state – Allows loop–detect to be enabled or disabled for the ports specified in the port list.
The default is disabled.
Restrictions Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To set state enable:
DGS–3426:5#config loopdetect ports 1:1–1:5 state enable
Command: config loopdetect ports 1:1–1:5 state enable
Success.

enable loopdetect
Purpose Used to globally enable loop-detect function on the switch.
Syntax
enable loopdetect
Description This command allows the loop-detect function to be globally enabled on the switch. The
default value is disabled.
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To enable loop-detect:
DGS–3426:5# enable loopdetect
Command: enable loopdetect
Success.
DGS–3426:5#
disable loopdetect
Purpose Used to globally disable loop-detect function on the switch.
