Command: enable snmp traps

enable snmp authenticate traps
Purpose Used to enable SNMP authentication trap support.
Syntax
enable snmp authenticate traps
Description This command is used to enable SNMP authentication trap support on the Switch.
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To turn on SNMP authentication trap support:
DGS–3426:5#enable snmp authenticate traps
Command: enable snmp authenticate traps
Success.

show snmp traps
Purpose Used to show SNMP trap support on the Switch .
Syntax
show snmp traps { linkchange_traps { ports <portlist>} }
Description This command is used to view the SNMP trap support status currently configured on the
Switch.
Parameters portlist – Enter a list of ports to be displayed.
Restrictions None.
Example usage:
To view the current SNMP trap support:
DGS-3426:5#show snmp traps linkchange_traps ports 1
Command: show snmp traps linkchange_traps ports 1:1
Linkchange Trap : Enabled
Port 1:1 : Enabled
